Museo de Arte Contemporáneo de Fuenlabrada (MAC)
Tucked inside a converted industrial building on Calle Leganés, the MAC punches well above its weight with rotating exhibitions of Spanish and international contemporary artists. It is one of the most quietly ambitious art spaces in the entire southern Madrid corridor.
What to Expect Inside
The permanent collection leans into painting, sculpture and installation art produced from the 1980s onwards, with a strong emphasis on artists who have ties to the Community of Madrid.
Temporary shows change every few months and have featured everything from large-format photography to immersive video installations, so repeat visits always reveal something new.
Planning Your Visit
The museum is free to enter on weekends, making it an effortless cultural stop before or after exploring the town centre.
Pick up a printed programme at the front desk — the MAC regularly hosts artist talks and guided tours that are not widely advertised online.
