Vila Capivari
Vila Capivari is the beating heart of Campos do Jordão — a pedestrian-friendly strip of Swiss-chalet architecture, bubbling fondue restaurants, craft-beer chopperias and artisan chocolate shops that somehow feels simultaneously like a Bavarian ski resort and unmistakably Brazilian. On winter evenings the street fills with revellers in scarves and puffer jackets, and the aroma of melted cheese drif
Eat, Drink and Browse
The central artery, Rua Djalma Forjaz, is lined with sidewalk bars and upscale European dining, from Argentine parrilha at Libertango to hearty German plates and ice-cold craft lager at Choperia Baden Baden — one of the most famous brewpubs in São Paulo state.
Chocolate is the other obsession: Chocolate Montanhês, founded in 1979, is one of the oldest chocolatiers in the region, turning out truffles, bonbons and the essential creamy hot chocolate that warms you from the inside out on a cold Serra night.
The Winter Festival Atmosphere
Every July, the Festival Internacional de Inverno spills into Capivari's squares with classical concerts, street performances and food stalls, drawing visitors from across Brazil and beyond — book accommodation months in advance if you plan to visit during this period.
Even outside festival season, Parque Capivari at the centre of the neighbourhood buzzes with craft stalls, ice-cream parlours, wine merchants and knitwear boutiques selling locally made woollen goods.
