Sentiero dei Limoni (Minori–Maiori Ridge Path)
The Sentiero dei Limoni is a centuries-old mule track that climbs from Minori's upper town through terraced lemon groves to the ridge between Minori and Maiori, delivering panoramic views over both bays that no road can match. The scent of blossoming sfusato amalfitano lemons in spring is reason enough to make the ascent.
The Climb and the Payoff
The path starts near the church of Santa Lucia in Minori's upper quarter and rises steeply on stone steps through working lemon terraces, their pergolas draped with the enormous, thick-skinned sfusato lemons that are the raw material for the coast's famous limoncello.
After roughly 40–50 minutes of moderate climbing you reach the ridge, where a simple stone bench rewards you with a 180-degree panorama: Minori's golden beach directly below, the broader arc of Maiori's bay to the east, and on clear days the island of Capri floating on the horizon to the west.
Practical Notes for the Trail
The path is waymarked but not always obvious at junctions — download the track on Wikiloc or Maps.me before you set off, and wear proper walking shoes as the stone steps can be slippery when damp.
The full traverse to Maiori takes around 1.5–2 hours one way; you can return by SITA bus from Maiori to Minori (a 10-minute ride) rather than retracing your steps, making it a satisfying loop without doubling back on the same terrain.
