Blacktown Markets at Skyline Drive-In

Every Sunday morning, the historic Skyline Drive-In on Cricketers Arms Road, Prospect transforms into one of Sydney's largest and most eclectic outdoor markets. Up to 240 stalls spill across the tarmac, selling everything from pre-loved vintage clothing to Cook Islands doughnuts and Filipino barbecue skewers — all with a buzzy, community-festival energy you can't fake.

What to Expect on the Stalls

The sheer range here is the point. Fresh fruit, homemade honey and plants sit alongside bric-a-brac, vintage collectibles, tech gadgets and garage-sale treasures. Serious bargain hunters arrive at opening; casual browsers turn up mid-morning for the food.

Diverse food trucks and stalls serve Dutch pancakes, Māori hāngī, Filipino street food, hot meals, artisan sweets and strong coffee. It is one of the few places in Sydney where you can eat your way across three continents before 11 am.

The Setting: Sydney's Last Drive-In

The market occupies Sydney's only remaining drive-in theatre, which gives the whole experience a wonderfully retro backdrop. Rows of speaker-poles and the giant screen loom over the stalls, making for genuinely distinctive photos that no inner-city market can replicate.

Arrive early for the best pick of pre-loved fashion and vintage finds, and come with cash as well as cards — many smaller stall holders still prefer it.
