Tucked down Soi Charoen Krung 50, just beside Robinson Mall, this compact open-air market is where Bangrak locals actually eat — not a tourist set-piece but a nightly congregation of 30-plus stalls filling the alley with smoke, sizzle and the perfume of lemongrass. It comes alive after dark and runs until midnight.

Two Markets in One

By day, the market focuses on fresh produce, seafood and daily essentials, offering a calm window into the neighbourhood's morning shopping routine.

From late afternoon onward it transforms entirely: food stalls stack the alleyway with grilled fish, spicy som tam papaya salad, noodle soups, curries, Thai stir-fries and sweet roti — a full sensory overload for under THB 100 a dish.

What to Eat

The evening stalls cover the full spectrum of Thai street food: boat noodles, khao man gai (poached chicken rice), pad kra pao, fresh pomegranate juice and deep-fried snacks. Chinese dumpling stalls sit next to Indian biryani vendors, reflecting Bangrak's multicultural DNA.

Since the market exists primarily for locals, prices are not inflated and portions are generous — an entire dinner rarely costs more than THB 150–200.
