From the outside it looks like just another warehouse on Al Quoz's industrial grid — but step inside the Antique Museum and you enter a 65,000-square-foot labyrinth of vintage cars, hand-carved lamps, Persian rugs, maritime antiques and curiosities sourced from every corner of the globe. It is one of Dubai's most genuinely surprising spaces.
A Warehouse Full of Wonders
Operated by the Fakih Group since 1994, the Antique Museum is not a traditional museum in the white-walls-and-velvet-ropes sense — it is a vast, walkable treasure trove where everything is for sale. The eclectic collection spans home décor, vintage furniture, antique clocks, maps, coins, weaponry and objects that defy easy categorisation.
The sheer scale means you can spend a full hour wandering and still not cover every aisle. Prices are far more negotiable than anything you'd find in a gallery or boutique, and the staff are knowledgeable guides who will happily explain the provenance of pieces from different countries.
What to Look For
Vintage Arabic coffee pots (dallah), hand-knotted Bedouin textiles and antique Omani silver jewellery make for the most distinctive souvenirs. The collection of old wooden dhow models and maritime instruments is particularly remarkable given Dubai's seafaring heritage.
Unlike the city's slick luxury malls, the Antique Museum rewards slow, curious browsing. Give yourself at least 90 minutes and wear comfortable shoes — the warehouse floor is vast and the discoveries are around every corner.
Practical Logistics
The museum is located in Al Quoz's industrial grid and is best reached by taxi or rideshare. It sits away from the Alserkal Avenue cluster, so plan it as a separate stop rather than a quick detour — the experience deserves its own dedicated visit.
The museum also offers a pick-up and drop-off service to hotels, making it surprisingly accessible even without a car. Call ahead to arrange.
