Al Quoz Pond Park

Sandwiched between Al Khail Road and Al Meydan Street, Al Quoz Pond Park is the neighbourhood's breathing space — a free, well-maintained green oasis with a central lake, walking tracks and open lawns that feel genuinely removed from the concrete and commerce just outside its gates.

Green Space in an Industrial District

The park sits at the intersection of Al Khail Road and Al Meydan Street in Al Quoz 2, making it an easy add-on to a day of gallery-hopping or museum visits. The central pond gives the park its name and its character — in the cooler months, it reflects the sky in a way that feels almost incongruous with the warehouse skyline visible beyond the treeline.

Walking tracks loop the pond, and the park includes a playground, basketball court and open lawns where families spread picnic blankets as the sun drops and the temperature becomes genuinely pleasant. It is one of the few spots in this part of Dubai where you can simply sit still and hear birds rather than traffic.

When to Come

The park is at its best between October and April, when temperatures are mild enough to linger outdoors after dark. On Friday and Saturday evenings the lawns fill with families, and the atmosphere takes on a festive, neighbourhood-party quality that is hard to find in Dubai's more polished public spaces.

Early mornings are equally rewarding — joggers and dog walkers have the paths largely to themselves, and the low golden light across the pond makes for excellent photography without the crowds.

Pairing It with the Rest of Al Quoz

Al Quoz Pond Park is an ideal final stop on a full Al Quoz day: start at Alserkal Avenue for galleries and coffee in the morning, visit the Antique Museum in the afternoon, then decompress at the pond as the sun sets. The combination gives you the full spectrum of what this neighbourhood does best.

The park is also a short taxi ride from OliOli, the acclaimed children's play museum on 4A Street, making it a natural second stop for families who want to balance structured indoor activity with free outdoor play.
