HiddenWoods Café
An elevated wooden walkway lifts you above the roots and streams, threading between the trunks of full-grown trees before depositing you at a café that looks out over the Chao Phraya. This is Bang Krachao — Bangkok's green lung, a peninsula looped by the river — and HiddenWoods sits deep inside it, where fairy lights catch the canopy at dusk and standing fans push warm air across the outdoor tables.
The menu runs to artisan coffee, homemade drinks, lunch plates and desserts, priced around 100–250 THB a dish. Cats wander the jungle-side path. The industrial-modern structure behind you is real enough, but the trees are what you came for.

People who return tend to arrive by bicycle — rentals start at 80 THB near the pier — and time it for a weekday afternoon when the walkway is quieter. The wooden entrance door is easy to miss; slow down at the 200-metre mark from Tha Luean Pier. The river view opens up once you're seated outside.
The story behind HiddenWoods Café
HiddenWoods was conceived around a single idea: that nature is the energy of human happiness. The founders — whose names haven't surfaced publicly — built the café into the existing tree cover of Bang Krachao rather than clearing it, routing the elevated walkway around trunks and over the small streams that cross the peninsula.
The area itself has long been Bangkok's counterweight to its own density. The loop of the Chao Phraya that forms Bang Krachao kept large-scale development out for decades, preserving the orchards, mangroves and community gardens that the café now sits among. HiddenWoods is a recent addition to that landscape, though its exact opening date hasn't been confirmed.
Good to know
Park at Tha Luean Pier and walk roughly 200 metres, or cycle directly to the café's bicycle parking. Closed Mondays. Open until 18:30 on weekends, 18:00 on weekdays. No entry fee — you pay for what you order. E-scooter rental is also available nearby.
The walkway and most seating are outdoors, so timing matters. November through February is the most comfortable window — temperatures sit around 28°C and the rains have eased. Avoid April, when heat regularly tops 40°C, and expect afternoon downpours from May through October; the standing fans help, but a soaked walkway is a different experience entirely.

We went there to eat while we are waiting for check-in. I ordered several food both Thai and western. The food is good except it’s too salty in every dishes especially the spaghetti with bacon one and Thai green curry, I barely eat the curry, only eat the chicken and vegetables. Plus, the food is quite takes time. We ordered food again for dinner and told them to make it less salty but the taste is still salty the same. The drink is nice as well, we get it for free 1 drink as we stayed in their homestay. However as I almost done with it, I found a hair in the drink. The good thing is the staff apologized quickly and offer to another free drink. We went on weekends so there are lots of customers which they all wanted to sit inside because it’s too hot. During afternoon I think it’s not enough space inside for customers tho. If you want to eat here and sit inside, might have to go a bit earlier than lunch time.
This riverside cafe has a wonderful atmosphere and offers good food, coffee, and their special coconut ice cream. The signature menu here is a must-try "dirty": they pour coffee over ice cream and coconut milk. It is rich, creamy, and smells amazing! It's a great place for families. Kids can enjoy the ice cream while adults have coffee and food. Note: You cannot drive a car directly to the cafe. You can only get there by walking or riding a bicycle, which adds to its peaceful charm!

A cafe in Bangkachao. You can either take a ferry from Bangkok then change to a motor taxi or ride a bicycle by yourself or drive directly from Bangkok (difficult for tourist cuz difficult to call grab/bolt from the cafe) Though the cafe is quite hidden, the cafe is quite crowded even during weekday. The view is nice and chill. Drink is so-so, but surprisingly find coconut custard pudding in the menu!!
It’s a bit of a walk to get to, so once you arrive at the stunning cafe on the river it’s perfect for some refreshing cooling drinks! Butterfly pea with milk and honey was delicious as was the lychee rose drink and coffees. We snacked on kanom thuay which was delicious!
