Casino Municipale di Sanremo

Sanremo's white-domed casino has presided over the seafront since 1905, making it one of Europe's oldest and most photogenic gambling palaces. Even if you never place a chip, the gilded interiors and chandelier-lit salons are worth the entrance fee alone.

A Palace Built for Pleasure

Designed by Eugène Ferret in a lavish Belle Époque style, the Casino Municipale sits at the heart of Corso Matteotti like a wedding cake dropped from a Riviera dream. Its white façade, arched windows and manicured approach make it the defining image of the city.

Inside, the rooms shift from French roulette tables draped in green baize to a sleek modern slot hall, so the building caters to every era of gambler. Guided tours run on selected mornings and reveal frescoed ceilings that most visitors never notice.

Beyond the Gaming Tables

The casino hosts live concerts, cabaret evenings and the occasional fashion gala — check the monthly programme on the official website before you arrive, because tickets sell out fast.

The terrace bar overlooking Corso Matteotti is open to non-gamblers and serves a respectable Aperol Spritz at sunset, with palm-lined promenade views that feel almost absurdly cinematic.
