Le Yachting – Galettes & Homard

Tucked beside the pleasure-boat marina at the Keroman fishing port, Le Yachting has been serving serious Breton seafood to fishermen and food lovers since the 1980s. It's unpretentious, loud at lunchtime and absolutely committed to whatever came off the boats that morning.

What to Order

The bisque de homard — a deep, rust-coloured lobster bisque finished with cream and a splash of Cognac — is the dish that regulars travel for. Follow it with a plateau de fruits de mer for two: a tiered tower of oysters, whelks, crab claws and langoustines served with rye bread and salted butter.

If you want something lighter, the galette complète (buckwheat crêpe with ham, egg and Emmental) made with local stone-ground flour is a masterclass in simplicity. Pair it with a glass of cold Breton cidre brut.

Atmosphere and Booking Tips

The dining room overlooks the working fishing port — trawlers unload their catch a few hundred metres away, which gives the whole experience a satisfying circularity. Sit by the window if you can.

Lunch service fills quickly on weekdays when local fishermen and port workers pack in. Reserve at least a day ahead for Friday and Saturday lunch; dinner is slightly easier to walk into.
