Circuit de la Sarthe & 24 Heures du Mans Museum

Le Mans is synonymous with one of motorsport's greatest endurance races, and the Circuit de la Sarthe lets you feel that legacy up close even when no race is running. The adjacent 24 Heures du Mans Museum packs decades of roaring history into a beautifully designed space.

The Museum Experience

Inside the Musée des 24 Heures, more than 120 legendary race cars are displayed across two floors, from the 1923 Chenard & Walcker that won the inaugural race to the iconic Porsche 917 and Ford GT40 that defined eras. Interactive simulators, archive footage and giant chronological timelines make this as thrilling for non-gearheads as for die-hard fans.

Don't miss the Hall of Fame corridor, where the portraits and helmets of champion drivers line the walls in a genuinely moving tribute to the human side of endurance racing.

Getting on the Circuit

Outside race week, you can walk or cycle sections of the legendary track, including the fearsome Porsche Curves and the long Hunaudières straight where cars once exceeded 400 km/h. Guided pit-lane tours let you stand in the garages and on the starting grid for a proper goosebump moment.

Several operators run hot-lap passenger experiences in GT cars on the actual circuit — book well ahead as slots sell out fast, especially in summer.
