Cap de Sant Antoni Lighthouse Viewpoint
The headland of Cap de Sant Antoni, a protected marine reserve just 4 km north of Dénia's port, ends in a white lighthouse perched on limestone cliffs that plunge 100 metres into luminously clear water. The panorama here — Montgó to your back, Ibiza floating on the horizon, the entire arc of the Costa Blanca curving south — is the finest free viewpoint on this stretch of coast.
The Drive and Walk Up
From Dénia take the CV-736 north toward Xàbia and turn off at the signed 'Cap de Sant Antoni' track; the last kilometre is a rough paved lane ending at a small car park beside the lighthouse keeper's house.
From the car park a short path leads along the cliff edge to a natural rocky belvedere — no barriers, so keep children close, but the exposure is what makes the view so raw and thrilling.
What to Look For
On clear days (most common October–April) Ibiza's northern tip is unmistakably visible 87 km to the south-west, and on exceptional days the island of Formentera appears as a thin dark line beyond it.
Below the cliffs, the marine reserve's water is a shade of turquoise that looks digitally enhanced in photographs but is entirely real — snorkelling is permitted from the small rocky coves accessible by a steep path.
