Willersey Farmers' Market

Just a short drive from Broadway, the village of Willersey hosts one of the Cotswolds' most charming and authentic farmers' markets — a genuine gathering of local producers rather than a tourist-facing affair. It is the kind of market where you actually meet the people who grew, raised or made what you are buying.

What to Expect on Market Day

Held on the third Sunday of every month from 9am to 1pm (except January), the market sets up along Willersey's Main Street — or moves into the village hall if the weather turns, as it often does in the Cotswolds. Over 15 stalls offer a genuine cross-section of the region's agricultural bounty.

Expect to find locally reared meat, artisan cheeses, seasonal fruit and vegetables, homemade pies, Cotswold honey, preserves, sauces and a handful of pet and home product stalls. The atmosphere is relaxed and genuinely community-oriented — a world away from the more polished markets in larger towns.

Broadway's Own Food Scene as a Complement

Broadway itself has a strong food-shopping infrastructure to complement a market visit. The Broadway Deli on the High Street works with the finest local and regional producers, while Collins Butcher on Kennel Lane is a traditional family butcher just off the High Street selling locally sourced meat.

Gorsehill Abbey Farm, reachable within a short drive, is a family dairy farm selling organic milk and their own Cotswold Ice Cream — a perfect post-market stop, especially with children in tow.
