Broadway Deli & Russell's of Broadway

Broadway punches well above its village weight when it comes to eating well. Whether you want a relaxed lunch from a legendary deli counter or a proper evening out at an award-winning restaurant, the High Street delivers both without you having to move more than a few hundred metres.

Broadway Deli: The Village's Most Instagrammable Lunch

The Broadway Deli on the High Street is one of those rare places that looks as good as it tastes — colourful seasonal produce piled outside, a retro truck at the kerb and an all-day café menu running from soups and salads to quiches and sandwiches, with solid gluten-free and vegan options. It works with the best local and regional producers and has both indoor seating and an outdoor terrace.

For something sweet afterwards, Guilt Trip Coffee and Donuts is a short stroll away, offering inventive flavour combinations like Salted Caramel Twix and Nutella Mousse alongside organic fair-trade coffees and toasties.

Russell's: Broadway's Flagship Fine Dining

Russell's Steak and Seafood Grill, located in the heart of Broadway, is the village's flagship fine-dining destination, showcasing the best of the region's produce in a handsome setting. The restaurant takes full advantage of Broadway's position in Worcestershire's famous market-garden country — think Evesham asparagus in season and locally reared Gloucestershire Old Spot pork.

For a more casual evening, the Lygon Arms on the High Street — a coaching inn with roots going back to the 17th century — offers a fireside meal in winter or a cool drink on the terrace in summer, and remains one of Broadway's most atmospheric addresses.

The Cotswold Distillery Shop: A Drink to Take Home

At 33 High Street sits the Cotswold Distillery Shop — the retail arm of the first full-scale craft distillery operating within the Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. It is an ideal stop for a bottle of single malt whisky or gin to take home, and the staff are genuinely knowledgeable about what they sell.

Broadway is also in prime Cotswold trout country — look for Bibury Trout on restaurant menus across the village, a fish with Roman-era farming heritage that still appears regularly as a local speciality.
