The tower sits at the intersection of Boma Road and Sokoine Road, surrounded by the organised chaos of daladalas, street vendors, and safari jeeps idling before their northward exodus. It is the single best orientation point in Arusha — find the tower and you can find everything else.

The Clock Tower neighbourhood is also where you will find the best local chapati and chai in the city — look for the small tea houses tucked into the arcade buildings on Sokoine Road, busy from 6 am with market workers and minibus drivers.
