Villa Eva
Villa Eva sits on the highest point of Ravello, and from its rooftop the Amalfi Coast unfolds in every direction — a full 360 degrees of limestone cliff, terraced lemon groves and open sea. The villa itself is a late Liberty-style residence from the 19th century, set within a three-thousand-square-metre park of centenary trees whose canopies shade an outdoor bar and a wood stove for pizzas.
This is not a place you wander into on a Tuesday afternoon. Villa Eva is a private event venue, available exclusively for weddings and gatherings, and the experience of it is inseparable from that ceremony-day stillness — the parasols, the majolica-tiled dressing rooms, the glass-walled dining halls catching the afternoon light off the water.
💛 What travellers fall for
Couples who have married here tend to mention the same detail: the walk up from Piazza Duomo, along the cobbled path toward Villa Cimbrone, when the trees open and the rooftop view arrives all at once. Photographer Enrico Capuano, who works the venue regularly, knows exactly where that light lands in late afternoon.
The story behind Villa Eva
The villa dates to the 19th century and was built in the Liberty style — the Italian inflection of Art Nouveau that favoured organic ornament and a certain domestic elegance. At some point it passed into use as a wedding and events venue, with Mario Capuano and Annamaria Staiano taking on its coordination and restoration, preserving the original detailing while adding the practical infrastructure a working venue requires.
The park's centenary trees predate the restorations by generations, and the two dressing rooms lined in local majolica tile are among the details that have been kept intact rather than replaced — small decisions that give the place its particular texture.
Good to know
Villa Eva is open only for private events — contact the venue directly at +39 089 857255 to enquire. Getting to Ravello means the SITA Sud bus 5110 from Amalfi (20–30 minutes) or a taxi for around €40–70 depending on season. The final stretch to the villa is on foot along cobbled lanes; porters are available.
June through August brings the driest, warmest conditions — temperatures in the mid-to-upper twenties with minimal rain, which is why the outdoor ceremonies under parasols work so well then. By October the rainfall climbs sharply, and November is the wettest month of the year.

Should I say Villa Eva is a beautiful place? No- it's just incredible! The ceremony terrace has one of the most amazing views at Amalfi coast. There are only a few places like this where you feel so high and open above the coast. There's also a rooftop terrace that gives a strong feeling of height - it's really impressive. Inside the villa - it's classic, elegant, with soft natual light and a calm spacious atmosphere Dinner is under a cover that opens, so in the evening you can be dinning under the stars. That feels truly special. For me as for a wedding photographer - it's perfect place as you can have everything: garden with flowers and the villa behind, sea view and many indoor spaces. Just keep in mind - it's Ravello city center, so you can't reach by car. You need a porter service to bring heavy things. Ask for working hours. But honestly, Villa Eva is one of the places you will remember for sure.
