So much history going back the the first kings of Italy and prominence in Napoleon era. The Duomo is mainly brick with a marble facade. If you look closely, it's off center. Inside, many relics related to St John the Baptist. I'm the square where located, restaurant available to view the sites and shopping nearby, very close. One of the original crowns is stored in a tabernacle like vault

Beautiful inside as it is outside. Definitely a unique and a outstanding design of the cathedral that is actually serves as one primarily. The Sunday service is completely full and open to anyone. Instructions ask not to take pictures inside. I am not sure how it followed up but haven’t tried taking some.
