Conca dei Marini Village Center
The name gives it away: conca means basin, and the village sits in one — a hollow in the cliff where the Amalfi Coast briefly exhales. From the road you see it in two registers, a lower quarter nearly flush with the water and an upper tier of whitewashed houses threaded between vegetable gardens, olive groves and lemon trees. The geometry is tight and the scale is human.
Four churches stand within a short walk of each other, the oldest — Santa Maria di Grado — dating to the 9th century. The village has been a trading outpost, a target of pirates, a tuna fishery, and, quietly, one of the more discreet addresses on a coast that rarely does discreet.

People who come back tend to mention the same things: visiting the Grotta dello Smeraldo before noon, when the light through the submarine entrance turns the water an implausible green; tracking down a Santarosa sfogliatella, the pastry the Dominican nuns invented here in the 17th century; and the odd peace of standing in the village lanes after the day-trippers have moved on.
The story behind Conca dei Marini Village Center
The site may have Etruscan roots — early records refer to a settlement called Cossa — but Roman conquest came in 272 BC, and the village's medieval shape was formed during the years when it served as a trading outpost of the Republic of Amalfi. In 1543 Turkish pirates sacked it, and the Church of San Pancrazio, first documented in 1370, was left closed for years afterward. The watchtower on the promontory dates from the same defensive era.
Trade continued through the port until the 19th century, and a tonnara — a tuna fishery — operated here until 1956. The Emerald Grotto, now the coast's most-visited natural feature, was only discovered in 1932. UNESCO inscribed the Amalfi Coast, Conca included, in 1997.

SITA buses run from Amalfi and Positano along the SS 163, and ferries connect to the marina. May through October gives the best weather. For the Grotta dello Smeraldo, arrive before midday for the light. Churches are open every afternoon in summer; weekends only in autumn and winter.
May through October is the practical window: temperatures run 20–28°C, rainfall is minimal in July and August, and the sea is warm enough to swim from early June. November brings the heaviest rain and cooler days; winter is mild by northern standards but some services thin out considerably.

Great beach club, not too crowded. Reasonable prices - €12 per chair and €6 for an umbrella. It’s not crowded so that was pleasant. The water is very clear and there’s a diving platform you jump off of. There’s no beach though it’s more of a ledge into the ocean so don’t expect sand. Also, the water is deep so be prepared to not touch the ground. The water does get a bit choppy because of the boats but that’s everywhere. Also, the food there is affordable as well - they have sandwiches and salads under €10. They just don’t have much options (but we weren’t looking for a dining experience so we didn’t care about that. Parking is €5 an hour or €30 a day. But be aware they charge you for a full hour so we got there at 12:30 and left at 3:30 but they charge you as if you got there at 12 and left at 4. Service was very good throughout from the parking attendants to the servers, everyone was very nice and pleasant to talk to. The one thing that could be improved though is the bathroom situation.
Perfect place for spending a hot summer day, friendly staff, reasonable prices and an astonishing private beach. Overall it can get expensive, but considering that we were 4 people and with a car parking, 84 eur for a day pass with beds and umbrelas it isn't that bad. Once inside you can eat and drink your own stuff and prices are reasonable. I would suggest going early as they close at 17:30, and don't miss going up to the tower, the views from up there are amazing!
great experience at the beach club! loved the valet parking for our car and the jeep ride to the bottom of the hill! prices at the bar / restaurant were super reasonable. views were stunning and we loved the diving board and areas to jump in the water. definitely recommend coming here if you’re in the area!
We arrived at the private beach at a cost of 17 euros per person, including a chair and umbrella. The service includes transportation from the apartment to the nearby town and back. You can get a bottle of water and a towel at an additional nominal cost. Instead of a restaurant, we just had a fruit plate and a smoothie and it was great. The prices are reasonable. The service is kind. The place is simply lovely and worth the cost!! There is also a small pool. In my opinion less suitable for small children.
Best way to get some solitude and amazing area to swim. This place is awesome for spending the day on the Amalfi coast. You absolutely will NOT regret spending your day here. It’s sooo nice and comfy and relaxing and cool and way better than any other Instagram beach, this is a hidden gem.
