Monte Siradella Viewpoint

A short, pine-shaded drive or bike ride up Monte Siradella rewards you with a panoramic mirador that takes in the entire O Grove peninsula, the patchwork of mussel-farming rafts on the Ría de Arousa and, on a clear day, the Cíes Islands floating on the horizon. It is the single best vantage point in the area and almost always crowd-free.

The Viewpoint & Surroundings

The mirador sits at roughly 175 m above sea level and is fitted with orientation panels naming the islands, towns and ría inlets you can see — on a bright morning the water below shifts from jade to cobalt depending on depth.

The surrounding eucalyptus and pine forest is laced with walking trails; the most popular loop from the town centre takes about 90 minutes at a relaxed pace and passes the small Ermita de San Roque chapel on the way up.

Best Time to Visit

Sunset from Siradella is extraordinary: the low Atlantic light turns the mussel rafts and their buoy lines into a glittering grid, and the silhouette of the Ría de Arosa stretches west like molten copper.

Early mornings in spring and autumn often produce a low sea mist that fills the ría while the hilltop stays clear — a surreal, Instagram-worthy inversion that lasts about an hour after sunrise.
