Western Water Park (Aqualand El Arenal adjacent — Katmandu Park Magaluf)
Katmandu Park is Magaluf's most distinctive land-based attraction — an upside-down Himalayan-themed mansion housing 4D cinema rides, a mirror maze, a haunted house and an outdoor adventure zone, all within walking distance of the beach. It is genuinely surreal and far more entertaining than it sounds.
Inside the Upside-Down House
The centrepiece is a full-scale villa built and decorated entirely inverted — furniture hangs from ceilings, staircases descend into the sky, and the optical illusions inside are disorienting enough to make even adults stumble. The 4D dark ride beneath the house uses motion seats and water effects to tell a short adventure story.
The mirror maze and haunted mansion sections are well-produced for a beach-resort attraction, with theatrical lighting and jump-scare timing that genuinely works. Budget at least two hours to see everything properly.
Outdoor Zone and Practical Tips
Outside, a mini-golf course, climbing walls and a small amusement ride area keep children entertained for an additional hour or more. The whole park is compact enough that it never feels overwhelming.
Tickets are cheapest booked online at least 24 hours in advance. The park is busiest between 12:00 and 15:00; arriving at opening time or after 17:00 dramatically cuts queue times.
