Ride the Weisshorn gondola to the highest point in the Arosa ski area and step onto a summit terrace that feels like the roof of Switzerland. On a clear day the panorama stretches across more than 400 Alpine peaks and all the way down to Chur far below in the Rhine Valley.
The View That Earns Its Reputation
At 2,653 metres the Weisshorn is the undisputed grandstand of the Arosa–Lenzerheide massif. The 360° panorama sweeps from the jagged Graubünden Dolomites in the east to the Bernese Alps shimmering on the western horizon — a geography lesson written in snow and granite.
The summit restaurant, 360° Panoramarestaurant Weisshorngipfel, lets you linger over a Graubünden Nusstorte and a coffee while the clouds perform their slow theatre below your feet. Arrive early morning for the sharpest light and the fewest crowds.
Getting Up & What to Do There
The Weisshorn resort lift whisks you to the top in minutes from the valley station near the town centre. Holders of the Arosa Card ride free of charge — a compelling reason to buy the card on day one of your stay.
In summer, seasoned hikers can earn the summit on foot via marked trails through alpine meadows studded with edelweiss and marmots. The descent to Arosa via the Hörnli ridge adds a satisfying loop with ever-changing perspectives.
