Camellia Hill (카멜리아힐)
Tucked into Sangchang Village in the heart of Andeok-myeon, Camellia Hill is a 20-hectare garden where 6,000 camellia trees create a year-round floral spectacle that no other park on Jeju can match. Come for the camellias, stay for the hydrangeas, wildflowers, and the garden café where camellia-themed art lines the walls.
A Garden for Every Season
Camellia Hill is not a one-season wonder. Camellias peak in late winter and early spring, tulips follow in April alongside cherry blossoms, lush hydrangeas take over in summer, and a tapestry of wildflowers paints the paths in autumn. There is genuinely no bad month to visit.
The park's 500-plus species of wildflowers, trees, and plants mean that every corner turns up something new. Wander off the main path and you will find tucked-away benches, mossy stone walls, and greenhouse pavilions that feel miles from the tourist trail.
The Gallery & Café
Inside the main building, a gallery displays camellia-themed crafts and artworks — a good rainy-day refuge that also doubles as a souvenir stop. The multipurpose seminar room hosts occasional floral workshops; check the website for dates.
The on-site café serves drinks and light bites against a backdrop of garden views. It is the kind of place where an hour disappears without you noticing — order something warm and watch the light shift across the camellia groves.
Practicalities
Camellia Hill sits at 166 Byeongak-ro, Andeok-myeon, Seogwipo-si — about an hour by bus from Jeju City, or a short taxi ride from O'Sulloc Tea Museum, making a natural pairing of the two. Admission is ₩8,000 for adults.
Arrive on a weekday morning to avoid weekend coach groups. The garden paths are mostly flat and pram-friendly, making it an easy outing for families and older travellers alike.
