Loggia del Comune
Stand in Piazza Libertà and look up: the clock on the Loggia del Comune has been marking the hours since February 2, 1430, when a clockmaker named Mastro Corrado da Feltre delivered his mechanism for 46 gold ducats. The loggia itself is older still — construction began in 1405, when Bassano had just come under Venetian rule, and the new administration wasted no time leaving its mark.
Along the interior walls, 120 coats of arms record the first Venetian podestà who governed the town, originally frescoed by Jacopo Dal Ponte before a fire in 1682 destroyed them. One painting survived: a fresco of San Cristoforo on the south wall by Francesco Bassano il Vecchio, still there if you look for it.

What survived was Francesco Bassano il Vecchio's fresco of San Cristoforo on the south wall.
