We couldn't have asked for a better experience than the one Gaia provided. First, the communication was excellent. We chose to hire the private driver, Adrian, who the lodge recommended, and he was excellent and friendly. When we arrived at the lodge, we were warmly welcomed, served a delicious lunch, and immediately set off on our first activity. Each day was packed with something special, and the food was delicious, fresh, and abundant. The entire team, Marco, Samantha, and Pablo, were well-informed and responsible in their approach to the natural world we were touring. We highly recommend Gaia if you are looking for an intimate and personalized experience in the Amazon.
Our stay at Gaia Amazon Lodge was truly unforgettable. One of the absolute highlights was seeing monkeys in the wild, right in their natural habitat. Waking up to the sounds of the rainforest and then spotting groups of monkeys moving through the trees was an incredible experience — something you simply cannot replicate anywhere else. It felt authentic, peaceful, and deeply connected to nature. A special thank you goes to Pablo, who is an excellent guide. He has a great knowledge of the forest and its wildlife, and he explained everything with enthusiasm and patience. His English is very good, which made communication easy and allowed us to fully understand and appreciate everything we were seeing. Pablo made every excursion both educational and fun. If you are looking for a genuine Amazon experience with amazing wildlife and a knowledgeable guide, Gaia Amazon Lodge is the perfect place. Highly recommended!
I cannot emphasize enough how amazing this trip was. I was a solo female traveler, so I was a little nervous about it all going to plan but Gaia Lodge was simply the best, and Agustín, Marco, Pablo, Gustavo, were incredibly welcoming. Rooms were clean and spacious with hammocks outside to relax. The views were incredible overlooking the river. Breakfast lunch and dinner is provided and you’ll be wowed by the food! You are right in the jungle and have incredible animals and insects steps away from where you are staying making the primary jungle walk and night walk amazing. They went above and beyond organizing thoughtful tours and the people I met there were wonderful. Upon my departure, I accidentally forgot my wallet at the lodge and they returned it to Quito before my flight which was an absolute lifesaver. If you’re thinking about booking a trip to the amazon, do it with Gaia, you won’t regret it!!
We went to the Gaia Amazon Lodge with our Spanish School and it was just amazing. The service was great and they adapted every activity and meal so it would fit us perfectly. One girl had problems with her foot so they switched all activities around so they would match her healing process. Also the location is great. The view is stunning and you are in the middle of the jungle surrounded by nature and animals.
My fiance and I had an amazing stay here! For how little it cost, it was a truly amazing experience. Very small and private, beautiful views, and nice accomodations. The service was very personalized, and the food was delicious. We loved all of the activities, including the night walks, village visit, chocolate making, monkey spotting, and boat rides. Samantha, Marco, and Pablo made the stay amazing. I would 100% recommend others come experience the Gaia Lodge!
