Bankstown Markets at City Paceway

Every Sunday since 1966, the sprawling grounds of Bankstown City Paceway on Eldridge Road have transformed into one of Western Sydney's most beloved community markets — a glorious jumble of fresh produce, multicultural street food, artisan crafts and second-hand treasures under a single roof. Come hungry, come early, and come with a big bag.

Six Decades of Sunday Ritual

Established in 1966, Bankstown Markets has been running continuously for over half a century, making it one of the longest-standing markets in New South Wales. The covered stalls and generous on-site parking make it an easy, all-weather outing for locals and visitors alike.

The sheer variety is the draw: browse racks of vintage clothing one moment, then pivot to a stall piled high with farm-fresh tropical fruit the next. Collectors hunt for vinyl records and antique wares while families stock up on pantry staples at prices that put supermarkets to shame.

A Feast from Every Corner of the Globe

The food stalls are where Bankstown Markets truly sings. Expect a rotating cast of multicultural vendors serving everything from BBQ corn and freshly squeezed juices to homemade Vietnamese bánh mì, Lebanese pastries and wood-fired pizza — all within a few steps of each other.

Entry is free and parking is free, making this one of the most accessible and rewarding market experiences in greater Sydney. Arrive before 9 am to get first pick of the produce stalls and the best seats at the outdoor food tables.
