Asolo Antiques Market
On the second Sunday of every month (except July and August) Asolo's medieval streets transform into one of Veneto's most charming antiques markets, with dealers spreading silver, ceramics, vintage linen and curiosities under the Renaissance porticoes of Via Browning and Piazza Garibaldi. It draws serious collectors from Venice and Treviso but never loses its village-fair warmth.
What to Expect
Around 80 to 100 stalls fill the historic centre from early morning, offering everything from 18th-century Venetian glass and majolica plates to Art Deco jewellery, old maps of the Veneto and hand-embroidered tablecloths that belonged to Treviso farmhouses.
The quality is genuinely high compared with many regional markets — dealers know their stock — so haggling is part of the ritual but lowball offers are met with theatrical offence and a good laugh.
Market Day Ritual
Arrive before 9 am to beat the crowds and secure first pick, then reward yourself with a coffee and a cornetto at one of the bars on Piazza Garibaldi where locals and dealers debate prices and gossip in equal measure.
The market pairs beautifully with a visit to the Museo Civico, which is open on market Sundays, and a long lunch at one of the town's osterie — making it a perfect full-day itinerary.
