The village of Pisco Elqui (formerly La Unión) is the valley's most picturesque settlement — a cluster of adobe walls, a pretty colonial plaza and the landmark Los Nichos pisco distillery where you can tour the copper pot stills and taste single-varietal Moscatel piscos that never make it out of Chile.
